‘STILL IN LOVE’

‍Still In Love

‍Tiny Desk Contest 2026 Submission

‍Lawrence Rosenborough’s 2026 Tiny Desk Songwriting Contest submission features his original song Still in Love.

‍Still in Love is a vulnerable reflection on the emotional limbo of loving someone you know you should release, but simply cannot. The song captures the quiet war between the heart and the mind—the pull to move forward colliding with memory, attachment, and unspoken hope. It explores the ache of holding on, the exhaustion of trying to let go, and the courage it takes to admit that love doesn’t disappear just because it becomes inconvenient.

‍The song unfolds as an intimate moment where the narrator finally admits what they’ve been trying to outrun: they are still in love. Even though the relationship has ended or perhaps never fully began, the emotional bond remains alive, lingering in everyday moments, memories, and silence. Living in the space between acceptance and resistance,  you want to let go, know that you probably should, but love refuses to obey logic.

‍Still in Love embraces emotional honesty over closure. It tells the story of a person learning that sometimes healing isn’t about forgetting—it’s about acknowledging what still exists inside you and choosing to keep moving anyway.
